Violence leads to being unconscious and being unconscious leads to violence. Unawareness and violence feed each other because ultimately they are the same. Awareness and love feed each other, because they are the same in different guises. So the Sages say that the practice of nonviolence leads to self recognition. Nonviolence and love are manifestations and expressions of Self Realization. One can easily avoid complexity. To be simple, authentic, and natural is the way. Guest guest Posted December 12, 2003 Report Share Posted December 12, 2003 Upon my visits to my teacher I notcied a change many years ago. Her house has allways been silent. Now the silence began to rip every illusion apart. So I tried to prepare myself by getting rid of my small ideas and stuff before I arrived. And so I became able to find this state on any occation. This is reality. The world is not a dream, the body is not permanent. No fluffy white clouds can save us. No particular belief, no beautiful stanza or aid of any kind.
