Dear Friends:

 

Sorry for any typos.

 

I have been getting some private e-mails asking about how I am doing

and how my father is.

 

I am about to shortly leave and visit my father and family and will

be back in six days or so. My father is still in the ICU in critical

situation. Although anything can happen, I feel optimistic. Death

seems to have taken a step back.

 

I am feeling fine and thank you for all your kind thoughts and notes.

 

You are all in my heart, even though at this time I have not been

able to acknowledge all your good wishes personally. Jerry, James,

Dirk, Gautam, Ram, Hillary, and so many of you.

 

This afternoon I wrote a letter to Joyce, David, Gloria, and Berit,

the wonderful souls who help with the website giving them some

details about the situation. I don't have it with me now.

 

All is well. As Michael said, the Self is in the Heart and Self is

the Heart and All is the Heart.

 

The Heart does not resist anything. What does it have to uphold? It

is ItSelf the support for all things visible and invisible and all

miracles, etc.

 

Do you know that story of Sri Ramana and Ganapati Muni?

 

Once when Ganpati Muni was thinking of Sri Ramana and praying to the

Sage, Sri Ramana actually physically appeared and blessed him (even

though he was seated in the Ashram).

 

Later when asked about it Sri RAmana said that it had happened

spontaneously without any intention on his part. The thought that

came to Sri Ramana's mind was, "So this is how Siddhas travel."

 

If we know the nature of the Heart, no teacher or teaching can

impress us or attract us. Heart Itself is the Magnet. It is the

Mother, the origin of all things, the source of all bliss, all

perception, all thoughts and feelings.

 

What teaching or teacher can it be attracted to? Sri Ramana

manifested the Heart directly. He often said that he was fortunate to

not fall prey to philosophy, words, concepts, and the intellect.

 

We are fortunate to be in the presence of the pure teaching. The

teaching is simple. You Your Self are the Heart.
