I have found, yes, I have found the wealth of the Divine Name's gem.

My true guru gave me a priceless thing.

With his grace, I accepted it. I found the capital of my several births;

I have lost the whole rest of the world. No one can spend it, no one can steal it.

Day by day it increases one and a quarter times.On the boat of truth, the boatman was my true guru.

I came across the ocean of existence.Mira's Lord is the Mountain-Holder, the suave lover,

of whom I merrily, merrily sing.

This year mirror-balls by in less than nine,

and time-flown fleeting moments effloresce,

guest-housing laughers and weepers

within the vines and the creepers

as the rosebud beings pink-up,

perk up, propped up

and pointing

to the full moon gone mad

with Love

and longing

for fingers curled,

outstretched and arched,

trembled in ache

and tendered in awe.

 

This year in time, like a dime

will spin by on the thinning rim of whims

and wants from the old haunts of heads

that are no longer fed with the crystal dishes of fey.

We are taut and sterling with the silver slim hope

that enough of life’s rope will be let out

to string our hearts like prayer flags

on the incoming winds of wa and woo yay.

 

 

Today I played with Bob and Grace.

In their twin-stemmed face of efflorescence

I saw God smile and laugh.

The Fragrance of that Joy,

of the Happy-Mirth that birthed this poem,

is the Fragrance of moonlight streaming,

of stars beaming and planets sheening

like pastoral flocks of peacocks preening.

 

 

Nothing is what it seems

as Love dreams up new ways

to play with us.

Mirror-calling by the door of Mirabai,

I can nearly hear her sighs

of Suchness as she touches

The Dark One, the Bright One

inside me, inside me and greeting

this New Year now

flashing before me

like Hari’s eyes flashed

before his parents were born.
