Thanks Jim for making many good points. It's true that

we have many bright and wise people here and certainly

you are welcome to shine your light.

 

You had made some comments about Tony.

 

Long term members of the Sangha are given a lot of

room to express themselves. Sri Tonyji has a certain

enthusiasm which can be misinterpreted as

abrasiveness. Also, Tony is now approaching his

eighties in a few years. Once the member of the Sangha

makes it past 65, we become very tolerant (although we

still do not actively encourage nutty behavior). It is

really on a case by case basis that judgments are

made.

 

If you give it some time and get to know the list

culture, you will understand.

I for one have a great respect for Tony and his knowledge. The

enthusiasm is that of the young at heart particularly when speaking

of Ramana.

Without Tony and the other mature members of the list it would perhaps

be a dry and sterile place.

Much debate is prompted by Tonys letters and that is good at drawing

out people who would perhaps otherwise just lurk.

Normally I dont often write even though I joined the list early on

with a different e mail address then had no pc for quite a while but

enjoy reading all contributions.

It is good to see new members encouraged to voice their own views.
