Pollyanna as a political expression

The word came from the film, where everything works out well in the

end etc, all warm and fuzzy. In its new incarnation it tends to be

something that is superficial rather than permanent or real. It

describes situations and people that don't have a lot of depth but

perhaps honest intentions. That everything in the garden is rosy but

isn't, that things can be fixed easily etc. I picked up the

expression from many other sites that I visited.........ONS..Tony
