Guest guest
A few weeks ago I had to drive to an area where I used to drive daily to my office. It was early in the morning, at least for me:-) I had noticed how beautiful it was, as it had snowed and the clouds were so pretty wiht lovely morning hues. It was especially nice as I passed a horse stable, with the white fence and the horses out in the pasture. But, I could not stop even though I had my camera in the car. I promised myself I would go back. A few days later, I was able to go, although it was not quite so early this time. It was also freezing cold, in the teens and the wind chill was really low. But I am a stubborn German, tee hee, and I was going to get my photos. After spending some time in a field of trees, I drove back to where the horses were. There was nowhere on the road to park so I had to go into the stable property to even attempt to photo them. Ice was everywhere and the wind was blowing fiercely. There was a woman who came out of the house on the property to ask me what I was doing. I showed her the camera and said I wanted to take some photos. She asked why, and I told her just for the beauty of it. She smiled, probably thought I was nuts, and said OK. She just warned me to be careful...probably did not want me to fall on the ice and then sue her :-) I carefully made my way down to the horses. There were quite a few of them, all colors, an eclectic group, just like this one. As I approached them, I could feel their attention turn to me, as a group. All of a sudden, all eyes were upon me, like when you walk into a room and everyone stops talking and looks at you. Despite the wind and the cold, I could feel a certain stillness in the collective consciousness/spirit of these horses. I would have stayed alot longer if I was not so freezing bloody cold. But they were still and quite cooperative. I can still feel that sense of aura about them... Easily amused, Joyce http://www.omshaantih.com/photogallery/Animal%20Kingdom/Country%20Cousins.htm
