He appeals because he gets right to the point and that is like instant gratification, for people. There seems to be no work or sadhana to do except, Who is me?. Ideal for so called intellectuals. The downside of getting the posts via digest is always feeling a day late and a dollar short! Anyhow, I think the above is quite right and also think Ramana was radical in his teaching. He is saying, why not wake up right now? I think quite a lot of seekers, if given the chance to awaken immediately, would run the other way so they could keep themselves intact, seeking.
