Dear Paul:

That was me and I even told you that if you did not think it was

great I would give you double your money back.

Glad you agreed with many many people who read it.

Aloha,

Alton

Questions come up of Sadhana and how to achieve

Realization. These show our quest for Self and the

intuition that something lies behind the personality.

Sri Ramana used to say that all deep thinking people

are fascinated by the nature of consciousness.

So yes one should do Sadhana. And if one is a mature

yogi, Sri Ramana may look him/her directly in the eye

and ask, "what is it that you conceive Sadhana to be?"

I conceive Sadhana to be.....

I conceive Sadhana to be......

I conceive Sadhana to be..........

So the "I" conceives Sadhana to be......

The "I" conceives Sadhana to be...

What truth can be expected from this "I" when it goes

outwards, poses as very muscular and important and

conceptualizes such and such.

This is why Sri Ramana would often ask, "Who is this

"I" ....

Go to the heart of the matter. Whatever Sadhana you

do, who is doing it? What is the source of this doing?

To do great Sadhana, one needs to be strong and strong

willed and determined and powerful (Perhaps like

TexasBob). To go to the source of all Sadhana, one

needs to be like a child, simple, with complete trust

in his mother. All techniques and Sadhana etc., depend

only on their Mother (consciousness) to be actualized.

When Ganapati Muni fell to Sri Ramana's feet and told

him that he had done countless mantras and asked him

the meaning of "Tapas", what did Sri Ramana say? He

said if you watch from where the mantra arises, that

is "Tapas".

So the Truth is always simple and free and in

abundance.

Love to all

Harsha
