This post is from SriRamana Group. I am somewhat confused by "remove

the heart-knot" and "established in the Heart". I thought I

understood both terms but placed together like this leaves me

unclear. What is heart-knot?

Ron

The grand, natural and sweet Self-abidance [sahaja-Atma-Nishta] of

the Sadguru, who is devoid of the ego sense, is the mighty Sword

which can cut deep and remove the heart-knot [hridaya-granthi] of His

loving disciples.

Taking to Self-enquiry- as the result of a proper education and

understanding - not straying away through the petty senses, and being

firmly established in the Heart as the mere Self Effulgance, is truly

following the Sadguru's Upadesa.

Verses 326 and 327

Upadesa Prayer

O take thy Sword of Truth

Sever the knot that binds my Heart

Slash the bonds of separation and

Unleash the nectar so sweet

That It may flow unabatedAs the stream rejoins the ocean

So return me to the Heart

Dear shining lights :-))))

I've been dis-connected from internet a lot lately ....

However .... whenever the window to the world opened for even just a

little, I've kept reading ALL of your posts (and 11 other lists :-)))

......

Thank you for ALL the sweet messages and notes you sent me (also off-list) .....

I shall reply .....

No time-frame, tho .... J

I may find some quiet minutes while Claus has to stay in hospital for more tests ....

Many mornings, when able to log on and smile, laugh and cry with your

writings and sharings ..... I feel a little sad that I can't stay

long enough to respond or contribute .....

THIS morning, however .... there is NO way to shut me up :-)

I want to share *my heart* with you ....

A few nights ago I woke up ... and HAD to get up .... around 2-3 am .... and paint ......

(That's how my paintings *happen* ... NO artist there ... just the

heart, the opening .. extending to hands and tools).

And THIS is what needed to be expressed, in molten wax, with my hot iron:

Love, only love .....

and many smiles .....

Helga

Dear Helga:

It is always so nice to hear from you.

And don't be sad when you cannot respond

or contribute in a visible way, because

we know you are here in Heart...

and when all is said and done,

that is all that matters to me :-)

I think of you and your chicken coup

and your beautiful little Buddhette and

Claus and send you all warm wishes

and healing love to a shining light.

Love,

Joyce

Another answer, this one from Mirabai...

http://www.omshaantih.com/Poetry/Mirabai/O%20My%20Mind/Worship.htm

Mira is regarded as an incarnation of Radha. She was born in Samvat

1557 or 1499 A.D. in the village Kurkhi, near Merta, a small state in

Marwar, Rajasthan. Mira was the daughter of Ratan Singh Ranthor and

the grand-daughter of Dudaji of Merta. The Ranthors of Merta were

great devotees of Vishnu. Mira Bai was brought up amidst Vaishnava

influence, which moulded her life in the path of devotion towards

Lord Krishna. She learnt to worship Sri Krishna from her

childhood...http://www.dlshq.org/saints/mirabai.htm
