Namaste,

The basic rule of all spirituality is Ahimsa. Non-Violence. Why?

Because it encourages compassion and without compassion there can be

no awareness and without awareness there can be no Liberation. A

developed vijnanamayakosa is required for purification and

liberation/Moksha.

However we can violate Ahimsa by default as well. Unless we are a

complete sanyassin that has given up all the world, and lives in a

cave.

If I see wrong behaviour and do nothing then I am complicit. If I

see someone being attacked and I don't try to defend them, then that

is itself a violation of Ahimsa.

If I see people preparing to commit violence and I turn a blind eye,

that is complicity in the violation of Ahimsa.

Defence can be lawful but only in proportion to the immediate

threat, for example the usa's nuclear bombing of Japan was a

violation of Ahimsa just as much as the 11+ million Jews, Gypsies,

Russians and others killed in the camps.

If one has a body and isn't realised then one has to participate in

the dream of creation and pay the taxes so to speak. Even an Avatar

has to pay the taxes, but then think of what Yeshuas said.,' Give

unto Caesar what is Caesars and unto God what is God's'.

So Ahimsa isn't inaction, it can be vigorous action, or passive

action...It also cannot be indiscriminate and hurt the

innocent..............ONS...Tony.
