Guest guest
Ah Bobbyji flattery will get you everywhere. But I think you raised a good point. Often I will write something and I will be very unhappy with it because it doesn't have the right flow. Then, in trying to get the flow right, I see that the meaning was not right. Right flow (or, to use your better word, cadence,) and right meaning reflect each other Love Warwick - texasbg2000 Sunday, April 25, 2004 2:18 AM Warwick/Adiji/ Re: Rabi'a Basri - the Mystic - a sufi saint ! , "Warwick Wakefield" <formandsubstance@t...> wrote:Very nicely stated Sri Warwick Ji.It is rare to find insight and experience coupled with the abilityto write so well. Nothing that you wrote is obscure or ambiguous. The sequence of the thoughts is well matched to the length and complexity each idea, that is, the cadence is persuasive. You probably have a lot more sense of enlightenment than you let on, even to yourself. Ramana was quick to tell people that they just had to get rid of the thought, "I am not realized!"But then he also said a particular devotee would never become realized because he thought too much of "others".At any rate I enjoyed your reply.LoveBobby G. Guest guest
Hi Warwick, In light of Harsha's dictate, consider yourself hugged : ). Well, my story is that I am full of shit. and sometimes I can sing pretty well. I, I I, me, me, me my experiences, my teacher, my judgements, my kids, (my laptop, and dont frigging touch it). Yeah, I have stories, and will tell them if they seem significant or timely. I am as enlightened as any Buddha. in this moment Went for a walk with a friend yesterday. We drove for 70 miles to get to a brook that I loved the sound of. We made a digital recording of the babbling of this brook. It is a small tributary of a river, and it has a rocky bed. There is a bridge over it made of metal, with a mesh floor that you can see through and other than the path the area is left pretty naturalized. I sat on a boulder in the brook while my friend the electronicist practised his art of capturing the sound I so loved. The moss was a particular shade of bright beautiful green, with such a soft texture, it made great places to sit and rest along the way. It turns out it was his 49th birthday yesterday, and he told me it was the best birthday he could remember having. What a gift. He's probably full of shit too, I sense that he wants to get into my pants. However, I couldn't help but enjoy the breeze, and the sunshine, the scent of the woods and the river, the quiet of the trees, the ballet of little black bugs gliding along like agile, spontaneous pontoons on the surface of the shining water. The surprise was that when the sun shone brightly on them, they were iridescent blue! Intricate patterns of movement and form. Tiny dancing skaters Enjoying the trip so far? The little intersections of life, how wonderful! Emaho Gurus are people too. This is my idea of a bumper sticker slogan. They eat, they shit, and they do most anything humans do, including sometimes touching "other" bodies. Well let's see... I guess it's OK if they shake hands, or hug people.... but letting them fuck, and be the teacher too? That's just not fair. This whole "engage fully with your passions, and allow them to be an aspect of the learning process... isn't it all just self serving crap so these guys can take advantage of needy helpless women (or fill in the blank with your favorite configuration therein, too many permutations to mention). It's all relative. Poisons transmuted to medicine, mindful lust? Hmmmm.... haven't fully formed an opinion on that. Not that it matters. But seriously, what benefit to worry about it. Centre of your own universe, allowing it to be? Not really like you have a choice. I find myself less and less engaged in worrying about it. But still get caught in whirlpools on occasion. Spinning like a saint. Lynne

Guest guest
Hi Harsha, Sorry I don't know Wim (if that's his real name). Talking about openness, what are your thoughts on the guru thing? Lynne
