Guest guest
The One-Self – He who knows Himself – was not – what became - He knew not - arose from his Knowing. The One Self – He who Knows Himself - conscious of Himself Consciousness arose – conscious of Himself Omnipresence arose as omniscience. The One Self – He who knows no others – Appeared in all things – Like an image in a pool He who knows Himself Saw! Becoming conscious of Being – Existence arose like a question – Flung-out Being sought the master He who knows no others – Himself. Thus became the vagabond – He the homeless one – that Jiva! The One Self He who knows Himself came to be what knew not Him. This That knew not Him was pushed out It began to move about in Him; It could not Be – It was not! Time began then running away in terror >From – He who knows no others. Again! Again! The question arose from his Self-knowledge Consciousness flashed forth as light – spinning out; Refracted – fragmented by knowing Himself; A multiplicity of beings and things arose; Growing more complex with each flash! Omnipresence arose as Atman – JivAtman arrived! But the question remains – emptiness asks Jiva replies, "I have acted" – "I Am The Doer!" But NO! He who knows Himself as The Self in All Beings – asks, What? Why? Who? When? How? Jiva replies, "I"! A Lie! – Jiva's reply echoes As the consciousness! The One Self – He who knows Himself - Does not reply His silence resets the answer to a question! Because the consciousness said "I am The ONE"! There is then Again another pulsation Again, the question – again the expansion; Again The Jiva Again realization – of He in Himself – of He who knows no other! The Jiva – adrift in complexity - Lost in omnipresence unknowing in omniscience – does not know that is itself IS the question – itself; Flung forth asking who am I? The answer returns – in error saying – "I am He who knows Himself – this is true of the Jiva – but Jiva is not He who knows no others! Marching out again those courageous Jiva die, Again and again they die yet again! Always returning to He who knows Himself; Look, they come baring gifts – saying We are knowers of You – He rejects them all! IN being they stand on hilltops waving flags to get his attention But he smites them all – and destroys even their bones! The questions are retracted – being is rescinded None may know who He is. He is the ONE who knows no others. IN those Jiva He is silent – He Listens; He sees – He Tastes – He Feels – He Watches The Mind! He who will admit nor acknowledge any other Hears the Answer – He it is who is aware of the Minds arising as perception – as consciousness; He and He alone knows that Consciousness is a reflection Of his own Being – but without The mirror What is reflection? After countless ages – countless life times – or one – The Jiva, being refined – reflects with enough clarity That He recognizes His question as to Who Am I? He notices Who it is that asks! Jiva says, "I am thee – but NO! Again Jiva replies, The reflection implies you are me! But NO! Jiva is not! Jiva Tries again- He says THOU! The once-upon-a-time arisen free-Will Began in a fairytale – recognizes itself as reflection only; Limited in efficacy – because it was impotent mere illusion of being; An existent with attributes like He who knows only Himself. Jiva – The reflection! With reflected knowership- Will and efficacy – Dies here! Suddenly that reflection Becomes absolved of Selfhood – it loses consciousness! When the answer to every question becomes Thou Where can the reflection continue? How can Being result then – from knowing he Knew Not? The One Self – He who knows Himself – Is not – was not – did not; what became arose not from his knowing He realized Himself in Himself as the Self IN All that became - Om-Siv-Om
