Lately I have been feeling very thankful for this Sangha.

There are so many souls here who post on a regular basis,

and I feel I have come to know and love you. There are also souls

who occasionally make an appearance, and always manage

to touch me and make me glad to know you are there.

Then there are the quiet ones, who do not post, but somehow

I know that you read the mails and that you share in the love.

I do not want to mention any names of those who do post,

lest I miss even one, but know that I mean YOU. I can't

mention the names of those who do not post, but know

that I mean YOU TOO!!! I just wanted to share with you

how nice it is to read the messages, the sharing of our joys

and sadness, the poetry, the links to webpages, and the wonderful

photos and other artwork. Without you, each of you, it would not be

a :-)

Grateful for joyful fellowship,

With a smile on my face, and love in my heart,

Joyce

Sing-a-song of sangha,

a pocket full of ties.

Flowers aplenty bhaktis,

basking in our lives.

When the lives are over

the birds will surely fly.

Yes, you are a tasty dish

to place before the King.

Young leaves,

Sam

Hi Joyce,

Directly after the last paragraph of Emerson's "Love" essay, (the

paragraph I quoted in my last post), in my book, comes the first

paragraph of his "Friendship" essay...and this is what it says:

"We have a great deal more kindness that is ever spoken. Maugre all

the selfishness that chills like the east winds the world, the whole

human family is bathed with an element of love like a fine ether.

How many persons we meet in houses, whom we scarcely speak to, whom

yet we honor, and who honor us! How many we see in the street, or sit

with in church, whom, though silently, we warmly rejoice to be with!

Read the language of these wandering eye-beams. The heart knoweth."

How about that? Wisdom is ageless. Our gratitude and love simply

are, while the forms change.
