I am fascinated by language of all kinds...would be nice to have time

to study more. (I only speak a little Spanish besides English.) Just

a little aside...did you know all air traffic control is done in

English? ::shrug:: They had to choose a single language for that

purpose. LOL...can't have air traffic controllers and pilots not

understanding each other.

Blessings,

Aly

Hi Aly,

Although English is widely practiced in the world, the word usage sometimes

varies.

Here is a short story.

A young boy from India who came with his family was sent to a Catholic grade

school.

When he had to go to the bathroom, he could find no place.

When he saw the words "Rest Room", he thought it was a place you went to

rest and take an afternoon nap.

The Nuns helped him out and he soon realized the actual meaning of the word

"Restroom".
