Guest guest
Namaste Tony, HUM... a universal language, what could it be? Mandarin says some, English says others... Yes you are right those are languages of business, diplomacy and of computers... They say French is the language of romance, it stands as the most popular second language in the world, even before English… Go figure... http://www2.ignatius.edu/faculty/turner/languages.htm Sanskrit in its old form is known to be the best to describe the sound-movement of the spirit. Strange world we live in.... But what about a true universal language, the language of the birds would say the alchemist, this humming, this song that goes within and without in harmony. That is always there but that we don’t ear because we are caught in the web of our own little ego-language. There is a true universal language that always been there and will always be there. Does anyone understand that language? That is another question, Antoine*****************************<< Namaste,However it is unintellible and almost unlearnable to most of the Indo-European language speakers and is not the language of computers, diplomacy or business. However it in itself is a lingua franca for there hundreds of languages in China, many only understand a smattering of Mandarin. If one takes the Indo-European groups as one language with many dialects and prakriti, then it is the biggest on the planet.China is not a country it is a group of cultures like Europe....There are a billion Chinese, but there are a billion Indians and almost a billion Europeans and Americans.....Most Americans use English for business and so do the majority in the E.U.....ONS..Tony. >>

Go figure... Namaste A, Yes I like French and it is supposed to be the diplomatic language, however in the E.U. English by default is the main language, especially with accession of the ten new states.added to those that favour English, like the Scandinavians and Low Countries. Guest guest
Tony OClery << The best language of all and the most international is----Silence...........ONS..Tony >> Yes... But there are so many kinds of silence. There is the petrified silence that is built on negative virtues. Like says Lama Anagarika Govinda in the Foundation of Tibetan Mysticism, According to the Esoteric Teachings of the Great Mantra OM MANI PADME HUM: "A saintliness, which is built merely on negative virtues, merely on avoidance and escape, may impress the crowd and may be taken as proof of self-control and spiritual strength; however, it will lead only to spiritual self-annihilation, but not to Enlightenment. It is the way of stagnation, of spiritual death. It is the liberation from suffering at the price of life and of the potential spark of Illumination within us." There is the suffocative silence where from fear on cannot think or do anything overwhelmed they by their emotions or over sensitivity. There is the silence very few will keep with another or with themselves. It’s the silence where souls talk directly with each other. Blessed be those who live, would it be only once, those moment of silence. The silence is of gold, the word of silver says a saying from Switzerland. The Inuit has 9 different words to describe 9 state of the snow. Whish I could find a living language that only has as many words to describe all the possible silences. And there is this living silence that echoes every branch of the Tree of Life and Death, from the deepness of the sky to that of a microscope; from the emotion of a leaf on tree moving to the wind to that of town vanishing under a flood or a bomb; from the vibration of DNA in a cell to the goose bumps on the skin; from the silence of typing to you, even if words are coming out.
