Guest guest
Charles the First walked and talked half an hour after he died - so goes a 'sentence' in English. This is given to emphasise the importance of punctuation. As it is, it is preposterous. With due punctuation, it would read as follows: Charles, the First, walked and talked; half an hour after, he died. Likewise, the famous statement of Lord Jesus Christ, "Even before Abraham was, I am.", in my view, has been consistently written everywhere with wrong punctuation. If it should read as follows, see the tremendous emendation that emerges and the significant shift in the meaning and purport of the statement that manifest themselves. Read in the light of the teachings of Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, this statement places Lord Jesus Christ in the unbroken line of succession of World Teachers who have descended from the Absolute to redeem mankind. "Even before, Abraham was 'I am'." See the significant shift in the meaning which implies Lord Jesus' claim to belong to the line of World Teachers.
