Guest guest
The dilemma of delusion I am faced with a giant dilemma, as are we all. We are up to our neck in delusion, fighting it off with everything we've got. The fighter is unreal, but he/she doesn't know that. The cinema verite has us very convinced. I always write about what I am going through with my husband's cancer...and why not? It offers me an outlet which nothing else can. I am the lotus struggling in the mud, only I don't feel so beautiful right now...only muddy. My son and I stood in the driveway looking up at the sky together. "This morning I saw the duck family hurrying down the street to the pond," I told him. This is an extended family of ducks--four parents and many teenaged ducks with long necks and goofy bodies. "They have acne," I joked....then added, "no, they have `quackne.' Black humor is the best. We laughed in our sorrow. Bob's illness is now pummelling us into fine powder. Damn....and then some.
