Namaste,

41) Jesus said, "Whoever has something in his hand will receive

more, and whoever has nothing will be deprived of even the little

he has."

Purport:O'Clery.

A little spiritual knowledge leads to more. Those that have nothing

can make no progress. The more one is on the path the more one is on

the path.....ONS...Tony.

Namaste,

When I read it occurred to me that it could mean the opposite. I did

think of writing the purport that way but I thought it may be too

obtuse for some folks. It has many translations depending on the

translator I suppose. However it is a truth that if people have no

spirituality at all it cannot be added to..........ONS...Tony.

:) hi tony... why those "sayings of jesus" sound more and more like a

copy of classic zen texts? "if you have a stick - i'll give it to

you, if you do not - i'll take it away from you" (basho, i think)

:) and i contest your purport. i take it to mean "you can steal only

what is yours. otherwise, you'll be found out"

spiritual knowlege is not accumulation of knowlege. it is about

unlearning/unknowing. the less you have, the futher "on the path" you

are... when you have nothing, you are all. thus the devishes, "men of

the path" are called "faquirs", the poor....
