you will find that many materialists, and many of the ordinary folk

are in that category, are not interested in the spiritual path at

all.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

all beings seek happiness and try to avoid suffering. thus whether

aware of it or not, what they they are seeking is the "spiritual

path"... though most, indeed, are not interested in the "spiritual"

form and parlance it is presented to them by the "spiritual" people

(lol and rightly so, imho).

therefore it is said "talk to each according to his/her

understanding". it is also requires "employing skillful means".

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

In fact are downright hostile to it in some cases.

:))

The language of Thomas was probably Aramaic and the saying were

written in coptic egyptian.........ONS..Tony.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

hmmm.... yes, that is probable.

if i get it right, thomas was jc's direct student, one of the original twelve, yes ?

any idea how many years after his passing were those "sayings" (the gospel) recorded?

respectfully

yosy
