It is all a mind, of course it contains information that is all it is information........ONS..Tony. Hi Tony, Contrary to popular belief, a reversal of the poles isn't a catastrophe, certainly not when compared with what is termed "the human influence. An excerpt from http://www.eces.org/archive/ec/ --------- But Where's the Good News? People sometimes write and ask why Earth Crash doesn't cover the "good news" - the establishment of a new nature preserve or national park, the move of some people towards "simple living," so-called "sustainable" energy schemes based on biomass, wind power, or solar energy, bioremediation, cloning of extinct animals, the (long-overdue) banning of a particular pesticide, the growth of organic agriculture, etc. The answer is quite simple - the environmental situation is now so bad that all of the supposedly "good news" is nothing more than a distraction that obscures what is really happening. The hard fact is that the collapse of Earth's environment has already begun - the Aleutian Islands ecosystem has collapsed, the world's coral reefs are rapidly dying, one in 4 mammal species are threatened with extinction in the near future, glaciers and ice sheets worldwide are melting as global temperatures inexorably increase, polar bears in the supposedly "pristine" Arctic are being born dual sex because of hormone disrupting pollutants, fish populations are collapsing throughout the oceans due to overfishing as we struggle to feed 6 billion people, and on and on the list goes. In other words, the 6 billion of us two-leggeds have already done so much damage that even 10,000 times as much "good news" will not be enough to stop the collapse. It's like a tree being cut down - once it has started to lean, there's no stopping its eventual fall. The whole point of the Earth Crash section is to tell the real story of the tree crashing to the ground without the distraction of the supposedly "good news" that there's no litter underneath it. --------- The ecological result of man's collective behavior could also be labeled "the very antithesis of Ahimsa" as so many species already have been wiped out and so many are wiped out daily. The modern term used for that is "manmade 6th extinction" and isn't meant as a joke. The collective karma might be that the planet runs out of prana to sustain most known life forms. Food for philosophers to discuss what happens with karma when the planet no longer supports its fulfilment. Guest guest
Hi Michael, The reason for the thread was to show that what is transient is bound to err sometimes as nature herself works via a trial & error mechanism. When honest, that is known and serves to publish after some scrutiny and or discussion with colleagues / friends. Advaita in all its flavors serves to show man isn't just the transient organism. That intellectual knowledge (f)actualized, it's obvious it has to be true for all creatures: global living space is one. Hence it was sacred to some ancient cultures. Whereas the food gathering frenzy of squirrels in autumn is limited to those furry friends' physical condition and harmless, for man's greed the limit is in cheap fossil energy resources, mainly used to destroy global living space - and those resources are near depletion. whatneither has an inside nor an outsideneither a beginning nor an endneither attracts nor repels? space can't be compressednor can be expanded neither created nor destroyedwhether in rocks or at the Heartwhat makes up a cave is space can space be carried in a containeror does a container move in space?whatever happens whether in a physical, astral or mental worldinvariably does so, in spacespace is awarenessawareness is spacenot two but one Dear "ecirada" thank you for this posting and the link you sent.
