Namaste,

75) Jesus said, "Many are standing at the door, but it is the

solitary who will enter the bridal chamber."

Purport:O'Clery.

Give up the world and your possessions, and attachments, if you wish

for Liberation. The bridal chamber is Liberation where the

individual is united in the Universal. It is a solitary path that

one takes.....ONS..Tony.

Tony:

If it is the Solitary that are allowed into the Bridal Chamber, and it is

the solitary path that one takes....

Then why are you out preaching to the choir?????

Why have an audience if your path is so solitary???

Why try to requote Jesus (and the King James mediocre translation at best)

when it is written clearly enough for most average people to understand in any

case?

It is as if I had come across some instructions on how to use a can opener

which read: "Insert lid into mechanical gripper and turn handle"

Then explained this all to everyone" Purport Zenbob:

"Those who seek to open the can of wisdom must grip the can opener of

liberation, but it is a solitary task designed for one hand alone (clapping)

once

the can is inserted, the Acolyte must twist the winder to open the can of

wisdom."

Hope this twists some lids...

Peace,

Zenbob

I was going to ask that too

but you already did with 5 question marks.

(I was only gonna use 3 or 4 max)

My average brother is below average.

Who's to blame for that??????

(6 question marks, do I hear 7?)

Who am I?

A jar of Jiffy Peanut Butter?

All I know is that I have these beautiful

crazy dance steps.

It feels divine.

I am divine.

I am holy.

I love.

God I have so much.

I even have enough to keep the vampires happy...

PS: Tony is pretty special in his own way too.

Chunky or smooth?

Namaste,

I have already explained why I post several times, --as a prasadam.

The end result in the book may be that there will be people not so

fortunately advanced as you are. This is the Gospel of Thomas from

Nag Hammadi( Gnosis as a cognitive with Jnana or Gnana) and is not

in the canon; therefore has nothing to do with the King James

version of the canon.........ONS...Tony.

Actually no, this Gospel is a mix of King James indeed, and some badly

mal-formed sections from the Nag Hammadi, which, in fact, are not historically

part of the actual tracts attributed to Thomas (who doubted) but to a splinter

group that just may have been part of an Essene community...but the many

thousands of dead sea scrolls are gradually being translated now, and most seem

to

be quite at variance with the early "translation" of the Nag Hammadi codices.

So, strangely enough, since I read all these back in the late 1970's and

early 80's when I was a Minister, perhaps it will surprise you and others to

realize that I can play at Scholar and theologian, too.

The danger of basing an entire theological effort (or book) on tracts that

are in dispute, or where one has depended on only an early popularized form

sold to the mass public is that it may fit some neat preconceptions but it may

also in no way be profound or even risk denting th truth. I like to at least

dent the truth of things a bit when I swing a theological hammer about.

Peace,

Namaste,

Zenbob
