Guest guest
The Jagganath Temple has records about Jesus? Tony OClery <aoclery wrote:Namaste Joyce, As mentioned I am researching for a book on Jesus. So far it is difficult to write a lot that is factual, so I am looking at the obvious connection between His teachings and the Essenic groups in Palestine at the time. Apart from evidence of his visit to India, apparently still in the records in the Jagganath Temple. So is Chinmayananda reinterpreting Christianity in the way I am working with the Thomas Gospel or is he going right to the Essenes?.............ONS..Tony. /join "Love itself is the actual form of God." His Holiness Sri Bharati Krishna Tirtha, the Shankaracharya of Puri, she, Daya Mata, mentioned that she had been told that Jesus "spent some of his life in India, in association with her illumined sages. His Holiness replied, 'That is true. I have studied ancient records in the Puri Jagannath Temple archives confirming those facts. He was known as "Isha," and during part of his time in India he stayed in the Jagannath Temple. When he returned to his part of the world, he expounded the teachings that are known today as Christianity'"[20]. . . However even if the Essenes didn't write the scrolls, as they claim in that rather speculative article; It takes nothing away from the fact that the semitic people at the time including the Egyptians, who were also semitic, had a lot of common scriptures and scrolls. However many groups occupied the site and archeologists cannot agree on the results--what's new? I believe one of the early groups were in fact Essenes. The Essenes also had a temple on Mt Carmel as well and were a diverse group. There is enough coincidence Early Christians and Essenes, in the writings and texts to establish a connection,IMO, and many other scholars.............ONS..Tony. Bingo! True inspiration always has that absolute stamp of authenticity and sincerity. It comes not from the study of Spiritual Grace, but from the experience of it. There is no scholarly short cut to inspiration. Neither Buddha, Jesus or Mohammed attained their inspiration through study, although many would rightly argue that Jesus was rigorously schooled in many varieities of both Hebrew and Mystery School traditions. But many, many people were so schooled and never had the right inner sparkle or absolute clarity as did Jesus. The difference is the entire meaning of the spiritual experience, and for all of us, that spark is more likely ignited by an instant of revelation than by a lifetime of scholarship. What? Tony? You consider yourself a scholar? Let others decide. Avoid making that claim. It puts you in terrible company.
