It is mystic experience that gives an unshakable proof of Spirituality. And such an experience belongs to the Sciuence of Vedanta. It is as good a science as 'mathematics', in fact more consistent and more amenable to personal verification than all the sciences. Vedanta talks about the larger religion which calls for spirituality rather than rites and rituals. This is no antithesis to Science. But in one sense it is, namely, in the requirement that it has, of the scientist to look into himself in addition to looking at the 'objective' world. While Science unravels the 'what' and 'how' of things, Vedanta reveals the 'that' and 'why' of things. While Science constantly pursues a reconciliation between infinitesimal smallness (the sub- atomic) and infinite immensity (the super-cosmic), Vedanta repeatedly reveals a reconciliation between infinitesimal smallness (the individual soul) and infinite immensity (the transcendental absolute). PraNAms to all seekers of Truth. profvk
