Hi David,

Excellent... radically excellent... way good!

About jelly fish, and that skeletal structure of us..., I don't want to repeat

myself... that's why I ask... Do you remember what I ever discovered about

jelly-fish and the brain?

I think I wrote it to HarshSWatsangh fiurst...

You may be an *inveterate* faultfinder, but you are in esteemed company...

spelling errors but it was too late... ... But worse... I spelled

wrong... something like HarshSWatsang... LOL

Esteemed company?

>From Aesop:

(By the way, the Poseidon of your poem is Neptune in the fable...)

"According to an ancient legend, the first man was made by Jupiter, the first

bull by Neptune, and the first house by Minerva. On the completion of their

labors, a dispute arose as to which had made the most perfect work. They agreed

to appoint Momus as judge, and to abide by his decision. Momus, however, being

very envious of the handicraft of each, found fault with all. He first blamed

the work of Neptune because he had not made the horns of the bull below his

eyes, so he might better see where to strike. He then condemned the work of

Jupiter, because he had not placed the heart of man on the outside, that

everyone might read the thoughts of the evil disposed and take precautions

against the intended mischief. And, lastly, he inveighed against Minerva because

she had not contrived iron wheels in the foundation of her house, so its

inhabitants might more easily remove if a neighbor proved unpleasant. Jupiter,

indignant at such *inveterate faultfinding*, drove him from his office of

judge, and expelled him from the mansions of Olympus"

You, David, however will not be expelled ... but the HarshSWatsang team is on

its way... Lady Joyce on the ready to swat you first...

Hi David,

I wrote what follows (re-edited here, as it was part of a longer post) some four

years ago, either on the K list or here on Harsha's:

"As we know, the brain is surrounded by the meninges, a double layered structure

filled with cerebro-spinal fluid (CSF), a clear gelatinous alkaline/saline

substance. The brain within its structures also holds five paired ventricles

that are filled with this same gel-like substance (CSF). In addition the central

spinal canal contains the same fuid. Between the vertebrae along the spine, this

CFS tends to spill out and can under certain circumstances travel along the

nerves as a filmy layer. [...]

That substance is actually ALL ONE MASS, distributed throughout the body as

follows,

.. meninges (like a hollow flattened rubber ball)

.. ten ventricular lobes (hanging down from the meninges)

.. spinal shaft (like a tail hanging down from the meninges)

.. myriads of thin gelatinous strands (streaked along the nerves)

The total volume is about 125 cc, but it can increase to twice that. (If

interested I can explain how and when...)

Now here it comes:

Imagine the human body totally stripped of all membranous, muscular, skeletal,

nervous, viscous and liquidy material except for this gelatinous matter at the

center of it all...

You will end up with the shape, transparency and beauty of a most wonderful

jelly fish...

what we are...

arisen from...

still in...

and recreating...

the primordial ocean...

The rest of us is just protection to maintain that primitive but still

mysterious process of primordial life..."

Now David read your poem again...

"Explosive radiating starfish

jelly fish goo

spineless brains

swim

sea horses

bred by Poseidon

gallop currents...

Bone is overrated

my skeletal stick-figure,

calcified rock...

Go figure

some more thoughts

to choke on

like a cat

eating chicken...

This live reef rock becomes

anything I set

my squishy mind to

Tentacles pick locks,

probing mazes

of sublime reasoning

pricking holes deep

....in this malleable lagoon"

This is so neat,

Wim

Could this imagination be a re-play of some evolutionary memory...

Is some "vibration of soul being" perhaps laid down in this ambrosial

aphrodisiac that we so protect with our life... and that we so celebrate in the

plays of "LoveHumanDivine' so celebrated in the poetry of the Krishna/Radha/Gopi

exploits.

You may remember how I have written that this stuff drips down the throat of

some as "soma" during the highest states of love.

(The latin word Ambrosia derives from the Sanskrit amrita. The English word

mortality derives from MRI (Sanskrit root for death). Amrita means deathless.)

Tony, will you please stop this... Your saying this shows an immense amount of

ignorance mixed with disdain or if not that, then it is a plain unwillingnes to

go where you have never gone before and if not that, then it is an unwillingness

to just simply consider something that may be new to you...

To be honest, disdain and mild expressions of ridicule (as so often exemplified

by your "Hahaha's") too often emanate from your posts and is not appreciated...

(Last occurrence, your comment on current artists.)

To say the least, it is not really very nice to react that way...

OK?! And I'm serious here, it is really about time that you stop that behaviour.

Lest we start ridiculing Tony, Adi... let him be with this for a while ...

There are reasons why I say this...

Not trying to hold you back here, but we would not want the 'extra attention'

feed someone's addiction to attention...

It is hard not to return to a person what that person is doing to you.

I am aware that we are very close to a boundary that is not beneficial any of

us, I hope that we can walk away from that boundary and that Tony follows us

before he gets too close...

how kosher it is to say ONS at the end of a GOSPEL OF THOMAS POST?

I REALLY DON'T GET IT...

and ONS what on earth is that?

Aum Namah Shivayah...

As devotees of Shiva are often heard to say in recitation...except insists that Aum is OM, I conclude.

That breath of fire thing is certainly ironic after his Gospel of Thomas. I

think that has unconsciusly or consciously been grating on everyone's

nerves, too. It is incongruous and unintentionally either hilarious or

insulting...like saying "bless you" to a sneezer from an Atheist's convention,

or saying

"Shalom!" at a Mormon temple gathering. I realize as do we all that in the

non-dualistic unity of it all, that such tings don't matter, but in the

momentary slice of life world of there are lines, etc., it does seem a bit

funny.

I think I will end my posts from now on with:

AMPH

or

Aum Manne Padme Hum...

LOL

Laughing Out Loud.

no amigo.

not in this lifetime.

I've never had a tank

strapped to my back.

Above sea-level drama is almost too much for me...

PS: I saw 'Jaws' when I was very young.

Scared the bejeezus out of me.

I used to go to a lake on weekends in the summer

and even though I *knew*

there couldn't be sharks in there

I felt them anyway...

lol my dear friend, i can understand that... never mind.

i enjoy your dives under the surface of the sea of consciousness and

into the worlds of imagination...

on the other hand, diving among coral reefs is a real entry into the

dream world. floating slowly and efortlessly up and down, enjoying

the unimaginable symphony of shapes and colours... the palette of

god, as i call the red sea coral reefs.

but seems your imagination provides you with those materials anyway :)
