Guest guest
I had a chemisty teacher in high school once. It was a catholic, all-boy high-school so you just knew guilt and stress would be bursting at the seams... (where it would eventually be resolved down the street at the all-girl, catholic high-school; but that's another story...) This teacher, whenever presented with the classroom getting completely out of hand (which was common, so I don't know if that reflects anything about his methodology response to storm-ups or not...) would simply do this: he'd just stop talking and look around the room as if you'd just insulted him or wasted his time until the class eventually got it and simmered down to complete silence. The funny thing though, as i mentioned previously was that this cycle would continue endlessly, ceizingly non-stop... I don't know if there's any wisdom here at all, but if there is you need to pick it out of the bird, greasy fingers and all for yourself...
