Guest guest
Dear Yosy, Wim, Vicki, and Tony and others. I appreciate your kind comments and especially your seeing beyond the words straight to my heart. When we are heart to heart, we are OK. We all know that where there is love, there is no need for rules. It's just that sometimes, love goes in the background because we are just human. It's a difficult balance for all of us in life and Wim described it well in the letter that he wrote recently to the list. What Wim wrote was so warm and reflective about how, even knowing better, we get caught up. in a way, using different words, said the same thing. This is true of all of us without exception. There are some famous stories from the purnas, Mahabharata, and other scriptures showing how even the wise rishis and sages who have meditated for years can be overwhelmed by emotion in certain situations and give into anger, bitterness, and revenge. So we have these ideals, nonviolence being the primary principle, and we are not always able to live up to that. This is why Sangha is considered important in almost all spiritual traditions. In a circle of friends, the strength lies both in the individual and the community and the caring. For human beings to fail and fall is natural. In a true Sangha, we can pick each other up. Well anyway, it is a nice ideal to have. When all is said and done when the day and night have become one We see that we are the light of love in our own Heart. Lots of love Harsha ===== /join Mail is new and improved - Check it out!
