Love, Sam - skiplaurel Tuesday, September 14, 2004 9:53 PM Tuesday We had a difficult time at the doctor yesterday. Bob will have to spend all day tomorrow and Thursday receiving more treatment for his anemia caused by the trial drug that he had in June. This morning I bought groceries, only to find that I had left my checkbook on the kitchen table. So I had to drive home to get it. Bob drove me back to the store so I could retrieve them. One hand washes the other--and that is how it goes. I sat and meditated on and off and remembered that thought occurs in a closed system. Something from the outside must come to us. I thought about going to Dallas, for instance. There I would be unknown and therefore unloved. That is the precarious and fragile state of any ego. But once we know that, then we can come to the highest understanding... We are known and we are loved...but not by mechanical forces. Thank you for standing with me as I wobble down the wisdom road.
