I know you enjoy nature shots, so these are for you. They were taken last Sunday morning at the lake near my home. I got down on my knees and took numerous photos of this Blue Heron, as he did nothing, stalked his breakfast, waded a bit, and then flew away. (The photos here do not include the breakfast scene. ) He let me get so close that I reached a point where I had to pull back on my zoom lens. Does anybody else here know how hard it is to get that close? I hid under a green mosquito net once, and a Heron landed 5m. away. I moved one arm a little bit and it was gone. My jeans are still green from crawling trough the grass two years later. A heron nearly landed on my head once I was swimming. That close it looked like a creature from another world. I believe no other bird can appear with so many different shapes.
