In order to discourage fights over “true virtue” and the true “truth” the sangha has certain guidelines regarding treating each other with mutual respect and amity. (btw, my reaction was to shaktidas words BEFORE i knew his identity as tony - didn't think about it until reading antoine's post... then "i" responded impulsively the way i did). will do my best to avoid 'swearing and name calling', and my apology to you again. i sincerely appreciate the good job you are doing here and wouldn't want to cause anything detrimental to the satsang's objective. your friend in any case in amity, _()_ yosy
Guest guest
Dear Yosy: Thank you for your kind words of healing. The guidelines of the Sangha apply to us all and all of us at some time or another including my self have fallen short. No harm done if that happens once in a while. In recent times, however, we have had to become firmer with those members who consistently show disrespect to others. The point is that if one does not appreciate the culture of a place, there is no need to be in that place. We believe in second chances, however. There is a case of a long time member whom I greatly respect but who has been moderated and even banned several times. His affinity with the sangha and love for us is such that he keeps an alias or two in reserve. So that’s life. Everyone is welcome here but certainly after some recent events and hurt feelings of members, I have learned to act more quickly and make judgment calls which hopefully are in the ball park somewhere. Anyway, the number of Alias a member may have previously had is limited so I would ask all members to respect the culture of the sangha.
