But really common sense reveals there are many ways to extend life. For example, 200 - 400 mcg of selenium supplement/day has been shown to cut the chance of getting cancer all types of cancer in half. While science won't declare selenium as a life extender common sense will. Another way to extend life is to not smoke. Apparently science is unwilling to claim a smokeless life style will extend life. Common sense on the other hand... (of course there are exceptions, I am looking at all this from a pool of probability) I am really not interested in extending human life anyhow. I have very few attachments to this world. Though quality of living is one attachment I find to be priceless. (I'll take my body/mind over Donald Trump's and his luxurious life style any day) > Most humans > with access to a variety of foods are unable to do that. Yes. That's the quandary. If one got all these nutrients from food they'd look like the Michelin man. I personally buy bulk, standardized powders of vitamins, herbs and minerals and make a big 'life powder'. It's sort of a hobby of mine. Some day I will post my supplement regimen to the group for kicks. I must admit that I do get a kick out of the sickly, fat & rapidly-aging folks that tell me that I am crazy for taking so many things. > I have experimented with food off and on for about three decades and > studied its effect on mind and body. Last year, I spent a lot of time remodeling my bathroom (which is like rocket science when you've never owned a power tool before in your entire life). I fell out of the exercise routine and began eating more. The excess carbs made me more hungry and viscous cycle spiraled... Well today I start my 9th week of strength training (since the layoff) and light aerobics. Already I have noticed my appetite plummet and my sense of well being return. > On January 26, I will again be starting a restricted diet for one year > in the honor of my father who passed away last year. And if things don't work out as planned you can do some 'touching up' with 'Photoshop'. In All Encompassing Health & Well Being...
