Hi Barney,

When people came to Sri Ramana, he sometimes asked them their background

and what they were familiar with. Since you have come here voluntarily,

why don't you give a little bit of your background and what you have

read. Have you read mostly quotes from Ramana or actually read something

about him or have taken an in depth interest in some way. If you have

please let us know. There is a lot of material available that you can

access on the Internet. If you need specific links, you can go to the HS

website (given at the end of the message) and find out much stuff as well.

From some of your questions it seems like you are looking for a clear

"How To" manual from a "How To" master who has used the "How To" know

how, to attain the state of beyond "How To" and now can reach down from

beyond " How To" to lift you up to that state. That is certainly

understandable.

But what is it that you bring to the table Barney? Is it devotion,

sincerity, faith, powerful intellect, prayerful attitude, concern for

other living beings, sacrifice for others...? What is your offering to

the Universe?

Love to all

Harsha
