Guest guest
Dear Swathi, Thank you for your posts. Sometimes questions come up from people just learning of Sri Ramana’s teachings about booklets and books on Sri Ramana’s teachings and explanations. Different yogis, authors, and works resonate with different people and that is due to our mental makeup. So one can study whatever works help them on the path to knowing the Self. The Heart, the Self is the original source of the teaching. That Heart manifested as the great sage of Arunachala and Sri Ramana’s words point to the Heart. “Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi” and “Day by Day with Bhagavan” are good sources of Bhagavan’s teachings as these are mostly his own words (although mostly uttered in other languages), and they capture the essence of the pure teaching and the devotees in tune can sense Sri Ramana’s force behind these. The recollections of devotees are wonderful as well. "Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi" and "Day by Day with Bhagavan" Namaste Harsha IMHO, I can agree in part with what you have said depending on whether one is talking relatively or absolutely. The Self manifests as everybody and everything, at a certain 'level'; However I don't think the Self manifested as Ramana anymore than it does as Harsha. Ramana, like all of us ran on prarabda karma, although he had a purified vijnanamayakos, which allowed a more truthful approach to all. The Self provides the energy as such, and as the 'Ground' it is a witness not a participant. It is the programmed destiny of karma that Ramana operated on. It is the Universal Mind which operates in Ramana for there is only karma and prana in the universe, the Self being Sakshin or Witness.............ONS...Tony.
