Outside the scriptures

looking at my hand

I write a scripture

about the lines small waves

with residual garden dirt

the wind pours through the trees

a greeting from the ocean

to this rainforest

as the trees wave hello

and goodbye

to the same wind

 

this is Squalicum Mountain

the lines of scripture

interwoven by the variable thrushes

through the wind and trees

all arising from the lines of my hand

all a grand symphony of being

and all that is needed

is to accept it all

and meet it as it arises

 

 

as the waves flow outwards through the forest
