Advaita for Dummies, Part II

wrote:thank you gary, who evidenty draws all his 'knowledge' from

lists, books and such, for proving the point so nicely... you and

fuzzie are a perfect match indeed. >>Yo yo! Well at least you got one

thing right, haha.< nasrudin caught a "non-dualist" picking fruit

in his orchard. "what are you doing?" he asked the thief. "nothing"

said the cheeky guy, "the trees, me, the fruit - all is one! so it is

just the unity enjoying its unity..." nasrudin beat him soundly with

his stick. "what are you doing?!" screamed the non-dualist. "nothing,

really" said nasrudin. "all is one - the stick, my hand, your ass...

unity within unity! how can you say "i" am doing anything?" and kept

trashing the bastard... >>And...............so what? You seem to

miss the point of your own parable, lol. Go back and read it again.

what's the point of the story, gary?

oh, and i don't have to read it again. after, all, i wrote it....

clever guys like this who spout undigested slogans! words come

cheap...>>What possibly could more illustrative of spouting

undigested slogans, etc. than the mindless mouthing of Nasrudin

stories, the meaning of which, you obviously have nary a clue?

< yosy (a nightmare-like figment of gary, fuzzie and other clever

guys imagination...)>>While I certainly can't speak for the fuzz, you

are not a nightmare-like figment of my imagination at all. You're

probably just another pseudo-advaitin half-wit who thinks that

quoting Mullah Nasrudin stories is a substitute for direct

experience.

:) 'a-dvaitin' is the indian origin of the english translated term

'non-dualist'. how can one be 'pseudo' the non-existent? (advaita is

the cessation/absence of individual existence and any other

distinction, in spite of apperances. thus does not exist for those

who see "existence" versus "nonexistence....)

now, 'half wit'... hmmm.... half of what?

:) "nasrudin, some call you wise, others an idiot... how do you call

yourself?me?! i do not call myself. why should i? i AM myself"

yosy (himself and no other)
