Guest guest
Beautifully put Michael! The gathering of devotees creates an atmosphere and exerts its own influence. Questions are put and questions are answered. Our inner longing for Realization is grace in motion. Sangha of friends with the same longing and aspiration is our good karma. Love to all Harsha font-weight:bold"> font-family:Tahoma;font-weight:bold"> [] On Behalf Of Michael Bowes Wednesday, July 06, 2005 9:09 AM RE: [ - Ramana Guru] Question abou Self-enquiry Dear Friend, 12.0pt;font-family:Arial;font-weight:normal"> There are those persons who need to practice some kind of spiritual discipline, and there are those rare souls who do not need to practice. Many persons seem to satisfy themselves by tinkering with philosophy and speculation. But for those who pursue spiritual practices, in order for that particular practice to be effective, one should practice it whole heartedly and without any doubt. The main object of sadhana is to overcome conditioning. This conditioning is so strong and pervasive that only an obstinate persistence in practice will result in the ultimate success. You obviously have respect for the teachings of Ramana Maharshi and you feel attracted to atma-vichara. Now, either practice that with all your heart and strength, or call upon your inner self, like a child calling for its mother, and ask that divine guidance within you what you should do. By asking persons such as ourselves, you will receive all kinds of guidance and suggestions. Also, in the body of literature associated with Ramana Maharshi you will find all kinds of answers. There is something for everyone. You can find almost anything that you want to find there. But I tell you something true: the imperishable, almighty SELF, in the form of the inner guru lives within you. It recognizes the sincere desire of the devotee and will never fail to guide you and to answer you. The only requirement is a sincere longing. Once you receive the inner guidance, nothing can stop you. Love to you, michael
