Guest guest
Dear All, TAT TWAM ASI or AHAM BRAHMASI or AUM TAT SAT are all only ways and means. Any realised soul does not deliberate or feel proud. any soul that deliberates or feels proud is not realised. In tamil they say 'KANDAVAR VINDILAR VINDAVAR KANDILAR' RGDS/VjPieter <pietersa (AT) loxinfo (DOT) co.th> wrote: - Pieter NondualitySalon Tuesday, 09 August, 2005 4:46 AM Great Words! This site is really a Bhakti site. It often reads like the overawing mindstream passages of the books of Henry Miller. Reading these passages describing non-dualism, eventually, the mind becomes so reoriented and passionate about the topic that the True Self recognizes Itself in the words describing It and awakens. It's really like a meditation stream. When the mind becomes pure, few words are needed for the Self to recognize Itself, and in a sudden flash of remembrance, the old mind is relinquished. Attention is discarded, as though the First Commandment of God to Moses takes hold and with a radical force disallows any images to arise before the inward pulling all absorbing pulsing force of "I AM." One abides as single pervasive consciousness with the localized attention to the body and images of the mind in abatement. The Heart radiates terrifically, and every cell of the body feels as though its being blown apart from within. Light penetrates inward and streams outward, as though through the pores of the body, through the head, through the feet and fingers, radiation. Each center opens upward and outwards expanding .... no limit. The sun has risen and while the moon of the mind and senses is noticed in the crystal sky it has no more use to see. You stand, as though in deep space at the door of the Infinite, like being grounded in the center of a Black Hole, one side in a state of dissolution, the senses and mind's images transfigured by their spaghettification, and the other the tranquil infinite expanse of undifferentiated consciousness. This continues .. the impalpable pulsation of no thoughts nor a thinker. Periodically an impression rises from the deep, like bubbles rising from the depths of the ocean.... uncaused..... unconditioned ...... beyond time...... Occasionally, even this all consuming state of detachment / de-contraction vanishes altogether. You are the screen, and yet there is no you and no screen. Everything happens without attention, without a doer, automatically. We talk about different dispositions, but there are no dispositions. Once the Self recollects Itself, a process of dissolution takes hold. In a Biblical sense, the first 2 commandments take hold, and it's as though you are standing in the middle of the Sun crushed and sucked inward by a powerful force like a graviton, yet irradiated by a relentless light that transfigures the mind and body. And this continues day and night. Awake, asleep, such that gradually even the dream state and deep sleep states are consumed by single pervasive awareness, and you abide in the Absolute. All this to say that at a certain time, words give way to the experience of sudden abiding. Then "hearing" with its inward pulling force takes hold regardless of one reading Buddhist texts, Christ's life and words, Vedanta and others. They all trigger the same force of recollection of dis-amnesia, in which the world and all ideas about it and God are entirely forgotten. Gradually with one's Sadhana, the mind and senses come under the force of abatement. We begin to see without the subject object dichotomy, as a field of consciousness, in which we are the multidimensional screen in which the world appears. In the beginning this seeing through the light of non-objective awareness, as a field of consciousness, seems to extend from the body some distance, illumined by the brightening light and expanse of the aura. Then suddenly there is an impact of the pure mind with the Universal Consciousness and the sense of inside/outside dissolve. You become electric transparent. No thoughts, nor a thinker.... At the end of all the words is an experience that consumes them. We make distinctions about Realization, but in the end all these ideas whatever they are are simply consumed, and whatever we thought previously bears little resemblance to the experience.
