So I just saved it & later sent it.Anyway thank you so much for the prompt reply & explanation.I am into meditation & prayers. The first hour after I am awake is solely for the Divine. I have great pleasure doing this. I am not completely vegetarian I do fast every Wed & Sat & off & on I go on fasts for 40 days or so.The only difference I feel these days is when I have done somthin wrong I am very aware of it & am very cautious these days with words & my moods. However I am very positive & am always inviting positive energy. Your explanation on your friend's mishap is very thought provoking & very enlightening.I am so glad to be part of this group. Off late, I have light dinner and feel much refreshed and lighter due to it. Can you please share with us how you feel physically, mentally and spiritually (practice wise) different when you are fasting as against when you are not? Thanks Sachin PS. Harsha, John and others, did Ramana have anything to say on fasting? ---- Padma Menon 09/08/05 15:22:45 Re: Re: How to awaken kundalini? - for Padma Pranaams John, I am sorry I had to send an attachment. When I was replying my computer just went blank. Guest guest
I must explain this to you first. In Malaysia when we say we fast mostly it means we are vegetarian. Of course now many are becoming vegetarian but as ours is a multiracial country this is not the norm. When I fast basically it means I am completely vegetarian & we do not eat rice at night. The forty over days I fasted , I felt very good very light & there was definitely a difference. I felt my spiritual progress was much better. I have observed the fast of Muslims where you fast from 5.00am till 7.00. Here we do not take any food or liquid after 5 in the morning. You break fast after sunset with a drink. This time also I was vegetarian. I observed this fast for only 7 days last year & also the previous year. Health wise it did not affect me much especially the veg. fast but the Ramadan fast [muslim] I did feel weak & tired especially the first 2 days Generally I enjoy fasting & it really makes me feel good pranaams peace & God bless may you have enough PadmaSachin Chavan <chavansachin (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> wrote: FLAVOR00-NONE-0000-0000-000000000000 4.0 ; Dear Padma ji Its interesting to know about your fasting.
