[poetryvortex] Two poems by Akiane Kramarik

These poems were written by Akiane when she was eight and nine years

old.The Message You begin to heal only when you hurtGod sent me to

wash myselffor me to see the end... I saw His smile grow His lovefor

the future of the beginning...Is God's road more narrowthan our

footprints?..The Harvest a torch holds your birtha handle your

initialsthe relationship blades focuson how you compete with

yourselfchiseling a minute...outside of you errors of silhouettes

grow up...hunger works for thirst thirst for hungerwhen spearmint

dancesare taken awayyou jump out of your charcoal eyesstraight into

the wrong placeand you slap yourselfto balance again on pain...any

mind does not fit wisdombut wisdom fits any mindSo many births take

placeat the same timeand you mix others upto get someone like

you...as you scrub your fright onto your friendsthe harvest moon

awakes...the shore is never too short for a harborand harbor is never

too small for a boat

Thank you Jimmy for posting this, what

a beautiful 'ancient' spirit. I saw her

on Oprah once.

Love, anna
