seconds before sunrise

and I awake to myself

As I Am

Who

of

I Am That I Am

 

I jumped off the Boat

Apocalypse Now

and had the battle of my Life

--Who was I--

and killed myself

 

reemerging humbled yet the greatest

ego in the Universe

The Universal Self

I Am That I Am

an impossibility to hold in one

small fragile body called Woman

 

yet here I am, bedecked and declarations

of both innocence and guilt by association

and devotion to the explosion of that

other life I lived in the time Lost

as a Search amoung books and

people-faces with eyes turned around

and seeing inside fearful places

of the

Heart-Cave

hidden and obscured

remotely accessed at best

 

when did I Know Love?

when

I Was Love

Became Love

Walked in Love

wrote

Love Poems

to

You

My Beloved, My Darling

in spite of Myself

denying myself even one small chance of

surrendering
