But the fact that had been put in is from Mahabharatha. And different people have different versions of it. What has been termed is Sathyavathi - the lady from the fisherman's family and Sage Parasara are the parents of Sage Vyasa. Namaste,IMHO, 99.9% recurring,of scriptural stories are allegorical and teaching myth, not historical fact. Again with regard to senses and sex. Nisargadatta smoked and rolled beedies all his life. When asked about the addiction he said why worry the old body now. So his body was addicted for the ego presumably was gone. If he didn't procreate that doesn't mean the body didn't have sex. If it is prarabda for a Mukta to have sex, sex will be partaken of. There are probably Muktas on the planet who are householders and are having sex several times a week. It is not the action but the attachment and aversion that are binding. Food is a desire, so is defecating, so is sex but these are natural non binding, samskaras that come with a body. Sex is governed by hormones, and if one doesn't partake there are usually other avenues for releif, such as masturbation and wet dreams etc. If not there can be serious mental and physical disorders, for some. Also if one's partner is denied this violates Ahimsa and creates bad karma. Hitler it seems was a vegetarian and even didn't practice sex in later years-------so what does that mean? The problem arises when the natural desire is taken over my the egoistic desires termed LUST, GREED etc. Again a Bramacharya isn't someone who doesn't complete actions, but someone who does nishkarma karma and isn't attached. The only solution is to give up the idea you are a person and find out Who you are.................ONS....Tony. --- End forwarded message ---
