Guest guest
Has this question really been asked? Are we the mind, the body, the senses, or our thoughts..when I first began my own journey of awakening I would travel to India and meet with many teachers. Most of them would have some sort of practice they would assigned you, some of them would touch you to awaken your kundalini. I feel a great respect for all my teachers and I have not a single regret having taken this journey. But it was one teacher that had long left his body that answered the question "Who am I" his name is Ramana Maharshi. This wise sage clearly showed me that nothing was needed to see who you really are except to be still and stop, it's was and is so simple and yet so very hard for all of us as the mind has been so busy for millions of years working hard at convincing us that something else is needed. The mind first movement is the thought "I am" from this everything else arises and I mean everything. The bible comes as close as it can to the real truth when it says " I am that I am" . All the spiritual practices that I had done, all efforts to see God to see who I am , to find enlightment when I awoke I could only then see that they took me away from the truth as I have always been the TRUTH and you can never obtain something that you already are. For me this was and is freedom it has always been here and always will be. there is nothing to do, no one to be for "You are That" I am happy to be a new member of this board as it's a wonderful reminder for me of who I truly am and the incredible nature of the mind.. Blessings always in the now Randy
