Emanuel and henceforth thus even before my afternoon Samadhi starts, know

yourself as Sunyata, and declare yourself as Sunyata. And

Paul (Brunton) you let him know in a letter that I think he is a rare mystic,

while the rest of my staff here are common run of the mill people. Yes, I am I

and you are you Emanuel and henceforth go forward with a new name from me, yes

me, I give you this new name of Sunyata.”

In a point wholly

unrelated to this Paul Brunton eventually was asked to

stop taking notes on what Sri Ramana said by the general manager of the Ashram

(Ramana’s younger brother). When Paul Brunton asked Ramana, who was

sitting there, whether it was his wish that he refrain from

taking notes, Bhagavan kept quiet. After that

Paul Brunton’s relationship with the Ashram went downhill.

What a mysterious world!

Just to be clear here it's

my understanding that Sunyata was not

refered to as Sunyata until the day the 5

words came from Ramana

""WE ARE ALWAYS AWARE,

SUNYATA." He then took this to be his new name

from that point on. He was earlier refered to

as Emmanuel..

It can be confusing if you don't have all the

facts..

Now back to the program at hand
