Guest guest
A friend told me about some guy whom she met over the internet, he told her that he can awake her Kundalini in a seanse (over a long distance). Couple of days after that, she had some emotional breakdowns, she cried a lot without a reason. the guy told her that those things are just the consiquences of her inner cleaning. In my humble opinion - I think that the playing with Kundalini can be very dangerous if a person doesn't have some spiritual ideal/goal that wishes to attain. These kinds of Kundalini "treatments" are in the same category with drug abuse etc. - they are only the tries to help yourself in a mechanical way, without Viveka and without inner knowledge. I'd have to say I'd concur in terms of not 'pushing IT' ... as when it is awakens, it pushes of Namaste,Kundalini is the mind, it is everywhere and everything. What you are experiencing is a movement of prana, probably cleansing your kosas in some way. It is a distraction and not necessary for realisation. K or a purified mind will rise by itself imperceptibly without all the bells and whistles, if one channels it into japa or some other form of concentration. K cannot in any way result in liberation or realisation, so it is not so efficacious to be distracted by these energies, they belong to illusion. I and many others have had some experiences, I found they are best ignored unless one wants to practice siddhis or something. In essence they are in the mind and imagination. It seems to me that the more cleansing that needs to be done the more the activity.......nothing really to boast about hahahaahah.I would just stick to your Vipassana and ignore the energies....ONS..Tony. Guest guest
Maybe if I just wait I will delete this as better words will have been posted, but here it goes: In a broader view I believe this points to the lack of discriminating capabilities present in general, and was puzzled by this seeming unbalance a while back. My teacher once said that Russia was the best country for Kundalini practice , because it was probably forbidden ( meaning it could not be done), and Germany the worst because they were so efficient. Reading some of the things presented here, I think I know what she meant. As far as I know it is a well known situation: After a period of basics the student wants to move forward not seeing or understanding the ongoing development and what Self Knowledge is about, which (in this setting) is the goal. I am not an expert at all but do also guess that if not directly under the category above some similar subconscious process could be at work. Why should we not be serious about this, as it could be continuing a pattern, even making it stronger? So the teacher is there to push the stop button. I have experienced this, and it was like believing to finally have the winning ticket in the 'great lottery' and being told to tear it up. Well, I really had no choice, she said stop and it stopped . And those who were fortunate to sit at the feet of Ramana were they in a different setting? I find some effort is often necessary to keep the 'head above water' in this busy world : ) Alan
