Guest guest
Dear Friends: Welcome to the list and thank you for being here. All topics related to Shakti and the Self are welcome here. Kundalini Shakti is the fundamental life force that gives life to all perceptions and experiences. Mysteriously, She appears as the Goddess and gives rise to super conscious visions. Who can really explain all this phenomena by words? Ultimately She merges in the Heart and reveals Her Self as the Heart as pure Consciousness-Being-Bliss, Sat-Chit-Ananda. Self and Shakti are ultimately not two. Many people have beautiful visions and experiences with the Shakti. Sometimes experiences can be terrible and scary as well making life very difficult. Shakti in its dynamic form manifesting as perception is also the massive force of the overwhelming unconscious, that from which the conscious mind springs up and to which it is connected, being part of it. If the Kundalini eruption is unexpected and comes without warning, and one is not ready to handle it, it can leave the mind and the body fragile as too many fears and anxieties are released involuntarily. The thin path that nature has made between the conscious and the unconscious to control the passage of information becomes wide too quickly and the fears from unconscious do not get censored as they normally would and pass through to the conscious in condensed forms. So it can lead to perpetual states of anxiety and one does not know the cause. Sometimes the Shakti comes unexpectedly as a powerful signal that one needs to get in touch with the essential issues in life. It can be painful, stressful, and lead to unpleasant mental states. In those periods, one needs support from friends. One needs support of the spiritual circle of friends, the sangha, until one feels comfortable and relaxed again. This is why all spiritual and religious traditions emphasize the community or the sangha. The collective positive energy of friends is invisible but lends support to those who are in trouble and in fear. All of these experiences are part of the show. Sri Ramana used to say, what is it that you are experiencing now…is it any different from a vision? So when Seer becomes focused on the Seer, and not what is seen, Shakti withdraws from perceptual reality and merges with the Seer, the Heart, the foundation of perception and experience, and reveals Herself as the Heart, the ultimate Seer that sees nothing but It Self. bold">But font-weight:bold"> one must be natural and easy with what one is doing, even spiritual practice and meditation, and yoga, and prayer. Some traditions emphasize discipline very much. Every day two hours Zazen or something else and so forth. Discipline is good if one is naturally inclined to it. But if one does not want to sit cross-legged, what is the point of trying to do it? Natural and easy, one does not unnecessarily wrestle with the mind or the body, and understanding its nature accepts its conditions. In this state of comfort, the natural and easy state is recognized. May you all find comfort in your circle of friends. Love to all.
