Guest guest
Picking up the thread here There is a book somewhere here in a shelf with a lecture by Vivekananda where he says something like 'the ideal situation is one religion for every being' and has anybody seen two paths alike? I did learn the Who am I approach, and traditional Yoga side by side, and used to end the day with meditation. I was satisfied, the meditation worked very well, but on rising it was 'left behind'. So something happened after many years, and I have no doubt the time spent in meditation had been 'clearing the space' . During a period with anxiety, a feeling of walking on a knifes edge, I became impatient. One day I found it was like the volume button of an amplifier. I had been trying to turn it off, or ignore it maybe, now eager to get to know the worst thing that can happen I turned the other way. I do not remember how I found the way to work the next day, only that in the last bend a lot of oil and a piston was lying in the middle of the road : ) Alan
