Dear John,

Thanks John. What you say is completely true. Guidance can be critical

when the Shakti manifests in a forceful way. An uncontrolled eruption

that one does not understand can requires years of patience and

suffering and cause much anxiety and states of fear before it

stabilizes. In the normal process of meditation and spiritual practices,

ascending and descending forces are natural. Ascendence is more common

and usually happens first. The Shakti rises above to Sahasarara and from

the Sahasarara, the force comes down as well throughout the body. There

is no single ascent or descent but a variety of such ascending and

descending experiences of Shakti possible.

Guidance is very helpful. That is why like minded people gather in the

sangha.
