Guest guest
Words may sometimes only affect the ego of others, Tony, but words can also incite, mislead, enrage and cause others to do things that they might not otherwise do...thereby words can lead to actions and actions have consequence..."fire" in a crowded theater, or Adolf Hitler, a pure man, kind to children and a dedicated Vegan, who nonetheless incited others by his words to do the most evil deeds. Remember, Hitler never murdered, never gassed, never even slapped any of the holocaust victims. He simply spoke words. If you and I are not separate, by your own arguments, how then can the slaughterer and the poor defenseless animal be separate? How can you differentiate its existence? If all are one with the ultimate reality of the Cosmic Existence, where does Cow and Cheeseburger, Man and machete begin and end? Now, I agree with you that any unnecessary cruelty is wrong, both from Ahimsa perspective and from just plain decencies sake, but these are separate considerations from our own mental perception of "us" and "them" which you keep refuting as having any meaningful reality...but now conveniently for you, these distinctions matter! Please explain... Cheers, Zenbob Change Your Life.... http://www.igonet.net/zencommunications
