Guest guest
Vanakkam! Sri Aurobindo was a multi-faceted genius. He was a political revolutionary, social critic, poet and above all, a great yogi and spiritual teacher. He was also one of the foremost interpreters of the Vedas, Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita.According to him, the human being is not the end of the evolutionary process; our destiny is to grow to a higher state of consciousness which will fundamentally alter life as we know it.... According to him, Buddha and Shankaracharya supposed the world to be radically false and miserable; therefore escape from the world was to them the only wisdom...BUT he also said this world is BRAHMAN, the world is GOD, the world is SATYAM, the world is ANANDA. it is our misreading of the world through mental egoism that is a falsehood and our wrong relation with GOD in the world that is a misery. there is no other falsity and no other sorrow... GOD is EVERYTHING and EVERYTHING is GOD.... --- Harsha wrote: > *Aurbindo is an important figure in spiritual Indian > literature and his > works reflect depth as a thinker and other eminent > thinkers recognize > him.
