Guest guest
frozen.... All details have been factually all docs have been completely surprised. They called it the first prove of conscious being alive always - how else could this terminally ill person which was clinically dead to every parameter able to record everything in such detail..... As a person who himself was always very scientifically oriented (mind oriented) and at the same time born with the inborn knowledge of the existence of the supreme Power i tried always my best to combine both fields.... which is usually impossible as long as a person is not ready to be really open in every field to know that everything is possible that nothing is impossible so you can imagine how impressed i was that this scientific prove was shown in a video on BBC i do not have any details of this programm but am sure BBC World Service will help you ask for a documention about the existence of consciousness after life and about this operation my wife our boy an i saw this programm...... hoping to help you with this information yours sincerely michael bindel michael_bindel (AT) hotmail (DOT) com am ready to answer all your questions - if possible Harsha <harsha (AT) (DOT) com> wrote: Dear Friends,I received the following e-mail from someone who is very close to me. I am looking for more thoughtful answers than "well, when the body dies, EVERYTHING in it is gone for ever!". Thats too simplistic. Here is my observation/question for your group and I hope you won't laugh and dismiss this. Today’s modern instruments can easily monitor the heart activity of a person who is dying. Once the heart stops, the person is viewed as having died. The wave like patterns seen on the heart monitor suddenly turn into a straight line when the person dies because the heart has stopped functioning. But the two most important parts of our body are the heart and the brain, and there is so little we know of the latter. What EXACTLY happens to and in the brain when we die is not all that clear. The brain is a most remarkable organ as it is the only organ that has both physical and mental dimensions. As I grow older, I find myself cogitating more about life in general, and death in particular, as I consider death a part of life. In Hinduism, it is believed that when the body dies, the soul lives on and, in time, it attaches it self to another living form. As a layman, I have no clue what a soul is, or how it is defined, but of late I have been thinking much about what happens to the brain once a person dies. I have no answers but only questions. Most people who die a natural death have lived a complete life, that has seen its ups and downs. By the time they are in their death bed, their brain has retained a vast amount of information, including the many many memories of that person’s experience. Personally, I find it hard to believe that when a person “dies”, all that information in the persons’s brain, including the special memories, simply “disappear” from the scene and is “wasted”. And gone forever. I would like to know what happens to it. Harsha, if your group members or other friends know anything about this or have some thoughts on the matter please forward these. Guest guest
Dear Harsha and Mr. N., I am quite convinced that reincarnation does occur. I have reached that conclusion through various personal experiences. I would like to relate those circumstances that have caused me to believe reincarnation; but I don’t know if I can write them down anytime soon. I have already recorded one of those experiences in a story entitled “The Circle of Life as Taught by Little Deer and Shakti”. That story can be found here: http://www.spiritualsisters.com/bowes1.htm I originally wrote this as a four part series and posted it on the NonDual Now group; but it has been posted to this website as one single article. As I mentioned earlier, there are many things I wish I could tell you but for now please allow me to offer you these conclusions. Somehow beings reincarnate. I don’t understand how; but I do remember portions of at least one past life. People ask why they can’t remember any former lives. I sincerely believe that persons don’t remember because the eternal one has been slumbering within them, lifetime after lifetime. It is not until the awakening that the eternal soul experiences and retains certain memories that then can pass from life to life. The image of this slumber is expressed in the classic image of Kali Ma while she stands upon the prostrate body of Lord Shiva. And Hindus express the experience of spiritual awakening in the term “twice born” which is one of the descriptions of a Brahmin. Jesus also taught that one must be “born again”. The eternal one can awaken within us, and it is the eternal one that can retain certain memories from lifetime to lifetime because it is the only thing that survives from life to life. But memories are not always useful. Thankfully, we don’t remember many or even most of the things that we have experienced in this life. Frankly, I don’t want a bunch of memories swirling around in my mind. What would I do with them? The only things that I can remember from a past life have been useful to my spiritual life. I do not remember any mundane memories of a previous life. The awakening teaches all things. It is your own undying, blissful Self. It is never really born and it never dies. It is your immortal nature. Life itSelf is all there is and there’s no such thing as death.
