The meaning of Sat-Chit-Ananda is known fully only in the experience of Sat-Chit-Ananda. Sat-Chit-Ananda is our nature. It is both experience and the foundation of experience. It is where the overwhelming dynamic power of change and manifestation (Shakti which appears as the Goddess or the chosen deity in the relative world) and the Self-absorbed power of being (Underlying Reality referred to as Shiva, the ground of play for Shakti) merge and One reveals its Eternal Wholeness to Itself. Sat-Chit-Ananda-Nityam-Poornum. Jnaneshwar the Celebrated Thirteenth Century Indian Mystic-Poet, has stated it beautifully in the Amritanubhav (The Nectar of Mystical Experience)." When He awakes, the whole house disappears, And nothing at all is left. Two lutes: one note. Two flowers: one fragrance. Two lamps: one light. Two lips: one word. Two eyes: one sight. These two: one universe. In unity there is little to behold; So She, the mother of abundance, Brought forth the world as play. He takes the role of Witness Out of love of watching Her. But when Her appearance is withdrawn, The role of Witness is abandoned as well. Through Her, He assumes the form of the universe; Without Her, He is left naked. If night and day were to approach the Sun, Both would disappear. In the same way, their duality would vanish If their essential Unity were seen. The book from which these excerpts are taken, is entitled "Jnaneshvar: The Life and Works of the Celebrated Thirteenth Century Indian Mystic-Poet," by S. Abhyayananda. community blog is at http://.net/blog/ "Love itself is the actual form of God." You woke me, and it seemed as one world disappeared, another world appeared. This other world is not elsewhere. In the dream, I was. I was living as if without You. Where am I without You? Did You awaken me to taste Your absence, or reveal where You really are? Vast emptiness, nothing holy in it -- is that the way it goes? An orchid stalk in a blue vase placed just so on the garden wall suddenly drops two flowers: When You go, I go too. I only came here to watch You, You called me -- "Come, Beloved!" I fell out of a dark world, a womb of emptiness, and into love, for You are love, and You woke me to You – I, who am nothing but Your love, awakening to You. As we do, both worlds vanish. Neither of us ever were. Not a trace remains. This is how we are. This is how I love You. LoveAlways, b
